Contemporary Artwork Inspired by Nature, Color, and Emotion
Susan Slapin's portfolio continues to evolve based upon her lifelong studies of color, light, texture and the way that nature unites people together. Unlike making specific copies of places Susan has been, Susan expresses the mood, energy and motion she experienced while visiting those places using abstractions. Using many mediums, Susan asks her audience members to "slow down," reflect on their reactions to each piece individually (the feeling they get) so that each group of works reflect where she was during this period of her career and her continuous appreciation for the beautiful lands of the Pacific Northwest and around the world.
